Humans + AI Events Director – Part-time

Help build a high-level professional events business

Location:

Must be Sydney based. Extra points for being around Bondi!

Scope:

Part-time, initially up to a day per week, with potential for growth.

Role:

We are looking for someone to help run and grow a series of events, initially in Sydney, working closely with futurist and entrepreneur Ross Dawson and his team.

We are commencing with a monthly Humans + AI Leaders Lunch series kicking off in July.

The initial focus will be on event promotion and partnerships.

We are considering running larger events, including a sponsor-driven Innovation Party. Another possible direction is hosting senior executive rountables.

The role is to:

  • Drive promotion and partnerships for the launch event.
  • Build the programme from an initial series into a regular, scalable cadence of events.
  • Curate and grow a community of senior executives and discerning thinkers.
  • Secure corporate partners and sponsors.
  • Use AI intelligently to dramatically accelerate and amplify capabilities.
  • Establish a platform for the next level of growth.

 

Capabilities:

We are looking for someone experienced in B2B event production, ideally with the experience and capabilities to build a significant business. We are looking for:

  • Solid experience running professional, executive or technology events, ideally for senior / C-suite audiences
  • An AI enthusiast with a high degree of competence in – at minimum – using LLMs for productivity and growth.
  • Knowledgeable in enterprise technology, professional services, or related fields.
  • Solid experience in partnerships and sponsorship sales.
  • Great at relationships and well connected in the Sydney business and technology leadership communities
  • A pleasure to work with (essential!).

Pay:

Hourly rate, with potential for profit share.
